The Batesville First Assembly of God partnered with Life Mission Ministry in 2016 to help grow the church and bless the people in a Pech Indian village in Honduras. This church is quickly growing and is in need of a larger building that is made of concrete.  While we were there in 2016, the floor of their small wooden structure collapsed as a result of their large congregation and hungry termites.  I know we all wish we strained the structure of our churches because of attendance!  We started construction of a new building this year.  The Pech are building it themselves with the financial help of their brothers and sisters in America.  Your help is greatly appreciated.

The People

The Pech are an indigenous people in northeastern Honduras, previously known as the Paya. As of early 2005 their population had been reduced to 3,800. The Pech language is a member of the Chibchan family of languages, and, although it is still spoken by older people, it is in danger of extinction in the relatively near future. Most Pech speak Spanish.  All Pech need the Lord.
